A mixed media abstract artist I discovered a window into making art and decided to crawl through… in doing so I felt as if I had ripped through space into another existence. Art is a playful dance that I have just begun to explore… colour texture and form inspire me. My Brother’s Wedding is a visual memory, a celebration, a significant historical narrative which had been hidden away. In its totality it is a reclamation of past lives lived, of artistry and beauty of Indian textiles. The photographed Saree was presented by my father to his sister on the occasion of his wedding in 1965.
