Myrna D’Souza graduated from India’s prestigious Sir J.J. School of Art and worked as a commercial artist while pursuing her passion for oil painting in her spare time.
After retiring a few years ago, she took up painting full-time. She loves to paint using thick buttery oil paints in impasto style. She paints large Impressionist land/water scapes and portraits that have an aura of mystery and are bold and emotive.
She also does large non-objective paintings using acrylics which are bold, dramatic and alive with colour. She has participated in many exhibitions. Many of her paintings grace homes around the world: Australia, Dubai, India, Canada and US: (Florida, Wisconsin, San Francisco.)
