Since I left my country of birth India over forty five years ago, my artwork reflects the love and longing for my roots which are based in an ancient eclectic culture. I have been culturally influenced by the countries I have lived in – Africa, the Middle East and Canada. I don’t believe much in having a particular style, I paint what I feel deeply about – it could be a landscape, a figure/portrait or an abstract, it could be oils or acrylics or mosaic tiles. I believe that art connects the world, it allows us to come together and promote a mutual understanding and peaceful co-existence.
