Ashraf Hasan Ali is an architect by training, an artist by choice, and an immigrant by experience and sensibility. As an older, visible-minority woman, as a one-time expatriate worker in the Middle East, and as an aesthete who crosses disciplinary borders, she is sensitive to the impact of art that celebrates natural beauty, artistic heritage, and cultural diversity.
