Born in Saskatoon, 1957, Stephen grew up mostly in Windsor, then moved to Toronto, Winnipeg and Edmonton. Obtained degrees in Visual Arts, Communication Studies and Education. Worked as a teacher, arts administrator, heavy machine operator, firefighter, and in numerous aspects of television, film and stage production. Stephen became interested in art very young but was involved in various activities. Producing artwork was always managed in his busy schedule, whether painting or creating stage props and set pieces. Stephen retired to Windsor in 2017 to pursue painting fulltime – working primarily oil and acrylic. Nine series are currently in progress, and “one-off” paintings.
