Growing up in the city of Mysore – India, I have been influenced by the intricate designs of palaces, majestic temples and exotic forests. Nature has been my source of inspiration and I have always gravitated toward painting a variety of flora and fauna. Recreating their beauty on canvas gives me an immense sense of joy and accomplishment. Making Canada my home since 2000, I consider myself fortunate to experience the wonder of its four distinct seasons and its beautiful natural habitat. I also draw inspiration from my love for travel which has got me to explore many National parks in Canada and the US. I enjoy working with oils and acrylic. My paintings are intricate and detail-oriented with abstract backgrounds. Flowers deliver an unspoken message of peace and harmony. They transform you into a world of positivity and hope. In my painting “Tulips from my garden”, I have expressed how a beautiful tulip, through its naturally vibrant color, gesture and form, is able to transform us into a world of love, peace and harmony.
